Creating your own Minecraft server is easier than ever. You do not need to open ports on your router or keep your PC running all night.
1. Choose a plan
Pick a plan based on how many players you expect. For friends, 2–4 GB of RAM is plenty. For a public server with plugins, start with 4–8 GB. You can upgrade later without losing anything.
2. Pick your server type
| Server type | Best for |
|---|---|
| Paper / Purpur | Plugins and best performance |
| Fabric | Lightweight mods and performance mods |
| Forge / NeoForge | Big modpacks |
| Vanilla | The pure Minecraft experience |
In the KingOps panel you choose the type and version from a list and the server installs itself.
3. Configure the basics
Open server.properties in the file manager and set:
motd– the message players see in their server list;difficultyandgamemode;white-list=trueif only your friends should join.
4. Install plugins or mods
Use the plugin installer to add essentials such as EssentialsX, LuckPerms and a world protection plugin. For modpacks, choose one from the modpack installer.
5. Invite your friends
Copy your server address from the panel and share it. That's it – your server is online 24/7, protected against DDoS attacks and backed up every day.
